Hawaii Five-0 show on CBS
The CBS television thriller law enforcement drama series Hawaii Five-0 debuted on September 20, 2010, and it ran until April 3, 2020. The show itself is a remake of the original programme, which CBS broadcast from 1968 until 1980.
The programme, like the first series, centres on an elite state police task unit established in Hawaii to address significant crimes. The show is made by K/O Paper Products and 101st Street Television, first in collaboration with CBS Productions and then, starting with season three, with CBS Television Studios.
The Hawaii Five-0 show has collaborated three times with other criminal programmes, and critics have praised its fresh perspective on the initial series.
A small, specialised DPS mission unit in Hawaii led by Lt. Commander Steve McGarrett, USNR, is the subject of this television show. The task group is granted complete immunity and resources and is exclusively responsible to the Governor of the State of Hawaii.
The task force is unrestricted and always enjoys the governor’s support. The Hawaii Five-0 show squad has the ability to look into crimes including terrorism, abduction, murder, and robbery.
McGarrett selects Danny “Danno” Williams of the Honolulu Police Department to be his partner and unofficial second in command of the squad. He chooses HPD Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly, his father’s protege, and Kono Kalakaua, a novice HPD officer, to round out the squad.
Later, DHS Special Agent Lori Weston is additionally given to the squad, but the governor ultimately forces her to go back to the DHS. Dr. Max Bergman, a medical examiner for the County of Honolulu, and Jerry Ortega, a conspiracy theorist and classmate of Chin’s from high school, support them.
Following that, Steve adds Lou Grover, an HPD SWAT commander, and Catherine Rollins, his girlfriend and a former USNR lieutenant. After Max, Chin, and Kono leave, McGarrett replaces their positions with high-achieving HPD academy alumnus Tani Rey and ex-Navy SEAL converted-police recruit Junior Reigns.
