The Legend of Vox Machina was initially planned to premiere in February on Amazon Prime Video, however, plans changed and debuted on Jan. 28 as a holiday treat.

It’s a holiday season, we can also disclose an exclusive clip of the warriors in action like working together to conquer barriers.

What if that barrier is a locked door? The gnome bard Scanlan Shorthalt (spoken by Sam Riegel) initially attempts to use his mysterious lyrics to supernaturally open it.

That doesn’t work. Half-elf druid Keyleth (Marisha Ray) next attempts to melt the lock. No dice! Gnome cleric Pike Trickfoot (Ashley Johnson) can’t understand any mysterious activities. That’s a good sign.

But the real hero is Grog Strongjaw (Travis Willingham). Well, Grog’s sandwich. The barbarian warrior is always thirsty. As he munches on his delayed delight, half-elf rogue Vax’ildan (Liam O’Brien) grabs one of his toothpicks and picks the lock manually. No harm, no fuss.

The Legend of Vox Machina started as a web series called Critical Role played as Dungeons & Dragons, localizing their characters and acting out fictitious adventures. The series got so outstanding it sired a Livestream show that doubled as a podcast.
