Hawk-Eye issued a statement apologising after goal-line technology system failed to detect Aston Villa’s goalkeeper Orjan Nyland had carried the ball over the goal line.
Bournemouth’s board will meet over the weekend to discuss the incident then seeking a compensation claim against Hawk-Eye, whose mistake may have contributed to their relegation from the Premier League.
